Greenbank Fire Pit & Pizza Oven

A two-part project that saw the team at Kenchi tasked with designing a large and long outdoor area around the pool to give the extended family living at Greenbank form, function and fun.
THE PROJECT
Initially the design brief for Phase 1 had a link-block retaining wall to build with sandstone paving around the central focal point fire pit and planting a tropical surrounding garden. Phase 2 of the project continued the curving retaining wall around the pool across the other side to build the Pizza oven and outdoor BBQ. The team at Kenchi hand built the Pizza Oven with bricks, wool heating insulation and decorative tiling for a unique and functional showpiece. The bench top for the Pizza Oven and BBQ was custom built polished concrete. Finally we planted a surrounding tropical garden behind this area to bring it all together.
THE OUTCOME
As you can see from the first image, our work area was a pretty blank slate. Kenchi was able to create a pair of wonderful outdoor spaces that will give many hours of enjoyment to the family through every season in the year (hot or cold). Another great outcome for the team and our customer!
